Battle 5: The Seige of Sharknai (Token to whoever guesses the actuall battle name): The Sharks, led by Brigadier General Fin J. Tail, sent one of the largest Shark forces encountered in one battle to capture Citadel Puppet, one of my main bases. The Sharks pressed forward under heavy cannonfire and newly added franciscas (adding to their losses even more) towards the gate of the Citadel. The newly formed Cataphract puppets rode forward slaying a small portion of the Shark assault force before baing shot down by the Shark Tooth arrows of the Shark archers. "It was as if the light was blackened out by their arrows," says one of the survivors. On a quick idea from the Bird's most famous war hero, Jaws the Eagle, all cannons open fired on the archers. With most of the deadly Shark archers out of commission, the Cataphract puppets and the Bird Raiders snuffed out the final bit of Shark resistance. The vulture air reconnacainse unit later reported that 4/5 of the Sharks and 4/7 of the Birds fell in that battle. Both sides had heavy ammo expenditures. Winner: Undecidable.

{ if (hspeed == 0) { if (random(3)<1 && place_free(x-4,y)) { hspeed = -4; vspeed = 0;} if (random(3)<1 && place_free(x+4,y)) { hspeed = 4; vspeed = 0;} } else { if (random(3)<1 && place_free(x,y-4)) { hspeed = 0; vspeed = -4;} if (random(3)<1 && place_free(x,y+4)) { hspeed = 0; vspeed = 4;} } }
That's how long.

That is basically a set of instructions for a proram.

Yes it is a set of instructions for a proram. To 'elaborate' it's some very nicely scripted GML that programs simple AI for randomly moving about.

And HOW exactly can that be used as a measurement of time?

Well if you measure how long it takes you to read it....

But different people read at different speeds, so who would you have read it to represent an average of the entire human populus?

It's been a while, but here is a another battle.
The Battle of Birdmopylae: The Sharks, devestated by their losses previously, sent a huge force to attack a puppet base in northern Underbed. The force stuck hard, and being led by Commander C. N. Fang, a leader said to be invincible. The force sent forward their flail wielding troops in first. The were hit hard when the puppets open fired with their rifles. However, the sharks kept coming, and soon they overtook the riflepuppets. The puppets fought bravely, but were hard pressed. It seemed they would lose in a short time, but a mysterious, masked chicken puppet arrived and procede to destroy large amounts of the Shark footmen, but took several arrows, and disappeared. In the end, Fang charged the fortress himself, and took out 100 puppets on his own. the Birds suffered a heavy loss. Winner: The Sharks
