Today I have aquired all three episodes of the Xenosaga series, providing me with quite a daunting task of completing them all. Of what I have played, seen and heard of it the series sound spectacular. While playing through the series I have two alternate goals in mind. 1.Reaffirm it's awesomeness. 2.See whether Xenosaga 2 is as bad as I hear. Concerning my second alternate goal, there are two answers that I see are potentialities. The first of which is that the battle system was changed to fit a wider audience, akin to KH2. If this is true, it would be overly disappointing for me if I have already comprehended the more complex system of Xenosaga1. The other answer, however, is more promising. This is that the system is not so much simpler but more so different. A lot of games have been insulted simply for being different. I'll bring up two good examples: 1.Legend of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Yes, it's different, no, it's not bad. 2.Quest 64. Yes, it lacks a money system, multiple team members, and a coherent storyline. However, all these faults are made up for by the innovative battle system and huge customization features. In my hopes, I see this second answer prevailing, but I can only wait and see.
