I juust got Armored Core 4 for Christmas, and it is pretty much th most action packed game I have ever played. Basically, you build a mech (Next) from assorted part types, and then you take it into battle.
The main story revolves around a Raven (mercenary) who is trying to make money for the Anatolia colony.
The game ranges from being simple to downright unfair.
Hard: Take, for example, Ice Breaker Defense (a mission in Chapter 3). You have to destroy a bunch of submarines who are firing deadly missles at both you and this ice breaker you are trying to protect. The ice breaker can take two full volleys of missles and then sinks.
Easy: Jardin du Chevalier , easiest mission in the late game. Fight one Next in a confined area. The only problem is she has insane speed. This does not help her in the small area. All you need is an energy sword to win fast.
Overall, the game is short (I already beat the main story on normal) but awsome. And hard mode is insanely difficult.

Wow, it must be short, but I guess it being isanely difficult on hard mode makes up for it.

Difference from Normal to Hard mode:
Desert Wolf: Normal: Just Amazigh. Hard: Amazigh, Sus, and Joshua O'Brien all at the same time.
I hate Joshua O'Brien his Next is tuned for speed, and by tuned for speed I mean his mobility rating is nearly 70. Mine is 55.

Simulator matches are fights against any of the 40 or so Nexts in the game.

Yep. And in multiplayer, even though I don't have enough FRS, I can still use Supplice (the No.1 Origional's Next). Yay!

I'll try to remind him, too. We'll annoy the heck out of him when he doesn't bring it.
