If you haven't taken a good look at my profile (or if you haven't seen it updated yet), LOOK AT IT! It has a lot of random questions. WHY?! I don't feel like telling you yet, but the point is, I'm now starting the Random Question of the Week (I changed it from each day to each week ('cause it would last a lot longer that way) but that's not the point). Where I'll post up a new question (from my secret source) every week and you can give your thoughts (or related questions) on said question, and I will post up the answer to the question at the end of each week. Although it's Friday, so I'll post the first offical Random Question of the Week........next week. Until then you can still post up your thoughts (or related questions) on this. Can just you post questions? I mean, that's fine if it's your thing. I'll find other ways to keep myself busy.

OK, sorry I didn't post this up yesterday (I was writting a speech). Anyway, the first official Random Question of the Week (and technically the first and last one of the year) is:
Why don't you feel or see a mosquito bite until after it begins to itch?
Personally, I never really liked this question because I do feel it when a mosquito bites me, but what do you think?

Because the probosics of the mosquito is so tiny, your skin doesn't usually pick up the cutting sensation. It only feels the oliy irritant that secretes from the insect, which takes a few seconds to kick in.

I think that Omega sums it up nicely.

K, the answer the the first Random Question of the Week, "Why don't you feel or see a mosquito bite until after it itches?" is........"Mosquitoes are so light and their biting technique so skillful that most humans cannot feel them......She lubricates her mouthparts with her own saliva and proceeds to suck the blood for up to three minutes until her stomach is leterally about to burst.......The mosquito's saliva acts not only as a lubricant in the biting process but as an anesthetic to the bitee.....Unfortunately, the saliva contains anticoagulant components that cause allergic reaction in many people. This allergic reaction, not the bite itself, is what causes the little lumps and itchy sensations that make us wonder why mosquitoes exist in this otherwise often wonderous world."

Now, for the next Random Question of the Week:
Why doesn't milk in the refrigerator ever taste as cold as the water or soda in the refrigerator?
Once, again, I don't really like this question because I never noticed that, but what are your thoughts?

Did you look up that answer on the internet? The answer didn't sound something you'd say.
No clue on the second one besides maybe the thicker consistency of the milk.

I have a source for all this Jac. I won't specify, but I will say that I have a source.......so that's why it didn't sound like something I'd say...because I didn't say it, I quoted it from my source.

It depends on what you put nearer to the back. If you have milk nearer to the back, it will most likeley stay cooler. Also, since pop packs are usually kept near the back, they stay cooler.

It's beacuse milk comes from mammals... and mammals are warm.

That doesn't sound logical really......

Ok, the answer to the last Random Question of the Week is....
"Actually, milk does get as cold as water or soda...Milk at the same temperature as water or soda just doesn't taste as cold to us because milk contains fat solids. We perceive solids as less cold than liquids. Taste experts refer to this phenomenon as "mouth feel."
The next Random Question of the Week will be posted tommarrow (hopefully).
