THE BEST BOMB SKILL EVAH! It's the third to the last bomb skill, and the only one that uses the atk stat. Because of this, many valkyries and amazons can benefit from it. Leave a bomb on Phantom Isle for a while to allow it to absorb mana, (the first bomb you can get is on Sylph's Melody, Windmill Promentory.) After it has absorbed enough mana, (around 600) fuse it into your character, (valkyries and amazons benefit most from this.) THAT is dud.
EDIT: It's damage multiplyer is ALMOST 3, so it's one of the best strike skills you can get early-game. Have 2 or 3 valkyries learn this skill, along with some nice long-range energy skills, (bronze swords have some nice ones,) and you'll have a much easier time with the game. Of course, once you can use Hell Kitties you should replace all your other created characters with them.

I love bomb skills. It's really too bad no post-game characters in Makai Kingdom have bomb master, because they have the highest tec stat in the game, (rank 40 bomb has roughly 4800 tec at level 1).

I'm assuming that's a lot since I don't know that much about the game.

Well, once you reach level 600 or so your weapon stats stop mattering much. This is due to character strength greatly overcoming the weapon strength. For example, my Laharl has, (about) 60,000 attack, and about 2,500 of that comes from his weapon. If I suddenly decided I wanted him to fight without a weapon he would still have 57,500 attack, not too much of a difference. But yes, 3,000 tec is a TON for early-post-game.

Just about the opposite of late post-game in Phantom Brave, where weapon stats become so powerful that the character weilding the weapon's stats stop mattering much. Here's an example of my (level 2000ish) Ash: Ash's attack=50,000 Ash's sword's attack=300,000 That means only 1/7 of the damage he's dealing actually comes from his own strength.

Technically, close to 1/7, actually it be 1/6...

(Assuming the enemy has 0 defense and that there are no stat boosters in play) Actually, Ash would do 350,000 damage (50,000 atk + 300,000 wpn atk). 50,000 of which would be merely 1/7.

But you're assuming there, and there is extremely little to no good in assuming.

[<_<] The assumption is more or less quite efficient at it's job. I'm not sure why I put "if the target has 0 defense", since even if they did, it would'nt make a difference. The real diferrence would be in the the stat boosters, which are relatively uncommon outside of random dungeons.
