This thread is talking about our love/hate relationship with Nintendo concerning brawl and it's updates. I'll start with today's update.
It explained the menu... exciting.

The update 4 today woz somehow pretty kewl. Sadly they only explained a menu again, (the character select and stage select menu,) BUT they showed the updated stage menuS for the first time! No, that wozn't a typo, I said stage menuS! Nintendo is putting so many stages into this game that they don't all fit into one screen, so they split it up into three. The 3 r: Normal Stages, Past Stages, and Custom Stages. Right now they have 28 stages in the Normal stages system, which, (I believe) is 4 more stages than melee had ALTOGETHER! The past stages has 6 stages in it, Rainbow Cruise, Brinstar, Hyrule Temple, and three other ones I can't remember. However, noting the size of the stage buttons on this menu, I could tell the maximum amount of stages Nintendo could fit on it. The normal menu can probly fit 2 more stages, so thirty in all, unless Nintendo finds a miracolous way to fit more in. The Past stages menu could hold roughly 12 stages in it, but I believe Nintendo is going to have 9, since it would look so fancy if there were 9 stages. The custom map menu wasn't shown, but I can imagine the stage buttons there are about the same size as the ones in the normal menu, so the number of custom stages on one wii will probably be limited to thirty, excluding the stages recieved from the internet (stage of the day).

ZOMG I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING! You can swim in brawl!!! I don't know how, or when, or whatever, but YOU CAN FREEKING SWIM!! You don't believe me do you? Your just thinking "Oh he's probly just being an ass again and trying to make us believe a lie." Well I have proof! Go to the OFFICIAL smash bros site and go to the vault menu section, then go to the picture that shows the challenge screen. Make the picture larger and you can see that the requirement for a certain trofy is "Have all characters swim more than 300ft." SEE! I told you!

... i noticed something else as well. In the stage selection screen there are two stages that have not been talked about. One must be a mario stage, as it is alocated between two other mario stages. This stage looks like a blue platform with a large blue moon in the backround. The other stage looks like some kind of mechanized platform, and it is between pokemon and fire emblem stages. I doubt anything with a mechanized platform could be considered fire emblem, so perhaps pokemon? Maybe it's in it's own category? We can only wait to see... Oh yeah, and I'm thinking now that since goroh is in brawl falcon will probly be a secret character. Talking about secret characters, Mr. G&W is definitely going to get in, because the hacked icon sheet told us so. Hopefully Ganon can get in with his light sword, but who knows. Otherwise no one else has a very good chance of getting in. I used to think Marth had a chance, but Nintendo revealed that Ike's down-b is counter, so Marth would be too much like Ike. Otherwise for past stages I think kirby dreamland from the original is going to get in. And also G&W's stage if he gets in. Besides that the only real franchise that they haven't hit with past stages is donkey kong. The franchise also only gets 1 new level as well, so I'm pretty sure there will be a DK past stage. I'm crossing my fingers for the one from the original smash, but whatever is fine with me. Oh yeah I forgot about Ness. He's probly not getting in. Maybe as an assist trophy, or an alternative costume, or something, but not as his own character. On a side note, did anyone else notice how awesome pkblizzard is? It's just like pkblast except way faster and it freezes enemies.
edit: teh official roster is out now, so you all can see how predictive I am now. It's in the other thread.

Oh yeah, and BTW, your custom stage limit is not thirty, in fact, it is limited only by the memory on your wii and sd card. The menu has a little down arrow button that let's you scroll through all the stages. Yup. (And BTW, each stage takes only 1 block of memory, my wii has about 950 blocks on it and my sd card has almost 20,000, so I think the limit might be a little bit higher than thirty. edit: I lied again. I just checked and my sd ONLY has, like 8k of blocks on it. Oh noes! I can only have 8thousand custom stages! That's no where near enough! *sarcasm*

You do know Marth is in Brawl right?

Marth is teh inzorz!! And with new info (that's going to be released later this week,) Roy is going to be in as well. (HA! I'm so l33t I know new info BEFORE it's released!)
BTW, Marth's FS is a lame little 3x damage critical hit.
edit: I reread your post and it started to sound like you were doubting my knowledge (!). I knew Marth was in from the leak on January 30th, (which was ironically also the same day I wrote that post lol) which is the first day ANYONE (non-nintendo) knew that Marth is in the game. Also, my edit at the bottom of my previous post, (which was added a significant time before your post,) states that the roster is out and discussed in the other Smash Bros Brawl thread. And totally irrelevant to the rest of my edit, (to expand upon the Roy thing,) the American version of Brawl will recieve AT LEAST, two new characters, (Roy and Mewtwo,) which will become download-able content in the Japanese version. I know this because I'm totally awesome, and all of you who don't believe me, (aka all of you, don't lie,) will be confumbled later this week when it is proven true, and I will stand here with my usual smirk, chuckling at my awesomeness and ability to know shtuff before it's anounced.

I suppose, but that was from Jan. 30th. (On a side note, I was a little disappointed that you weren't argumentative. / (Also on a side note, M4rth FTW!)

13 days left! w00t
BTW, it was all a lie. Roy and Mewtwo are teh outzorz, but I don't rly mind since I don't like either of them very much anyways. I rly thot that that woz g0ing to happen, tho, so I am a little dissapointed. Oh-the-well, I will survive.

Mewtwo sucked anyway, heavy weight, slow attacks that were pathetic except for a few.
